(잉구리쉬)memorable dish

One of the most memorable dishes for me is actually a really simple one. When I was younger, my grandma used to make me muna-mul (무나물) with rice. It wasn’t anything fancy, just some stir-fried vegetables with rice, but it’s something I’ll never forget. The thing is, I wasn’t that close to her because she always seemed to prefer my cousin. I really wanted her to like me, so even though the dish was simple, it felt like her way of showing love to me. It’s funny how food can hold so many memories, right? She was very old by then and lived in a nursing home, and that meal turned out to be one of the last ones she ever made for me. It’s funny how such a simple dish can be so meaningful.
